The Orthodontic Validation Process

Thanks for visiting the website to complete your orthodontic validation.  Please have a copy of your letter with you so that you can refer to it as you answer the questions. It should take no more than four minutes to complete.

PLEASE NOTE: This confirms that you wish to remain on the waiting list, it is not to book appointments. Once confirmed the referral will remain on the waiting list until it is sent to a provider; this may still be up to 2 years from the date the referral was originally submitted – In this time you will receive no more communication from us. The referral centre have no control over waiting times or providers and cannot provide you with detailed information regarding the referral.

Why are the NHS doing this?

Orthodontic waiting times can be well over a year. During this time it’s not unusual for patients to move away, get their treatment done somewhere else, or decide that they no longer want orthodontic treatment.  By removing these patients from lists means that we can better assess waiting times and see those ready for treatment sooner.  We are very grateful to you for helping us with this exercise.

My data

We will collect personal data from you in order to process the wait list exercise.  Once you have entered your data here your information is passed to the orthodontic practice and then we delete it securely.
