What are the referral criteria for patients?

We see adults and children who require special care dentistry, treating them with local anaesthetic , inhalation sedation or GA if required.

We accept patients for GA which is carried out at Fairfield General Hospital.

Paediatric-over 2, fit and well, extractions only, deciduous and permanent teeth.

Special care patients( adults and children) comprehensive dental care

X rays are available to be taken during GA if needed.

ASA I and II

For special care patients, both adults and children, reliant on cooperation ability, rather than an age limit.

Who can use the service?

Bariatric provision for special care patients is available within the Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (covering Bury, Oldham and HMR)

All sites have disabled access, hearing loops. There is access to hoists and wheelchair tipping devices
